Foundation in Dance & Musical Theatre (Cert HE)* *Validated by Rose Bruford College.

SOTE Foundation course in Dance & Musical Theatre is designed to train Students in all three disciplines of Acting, Singing & Dancing, to develop the core basic training in Musical Theatre performance, and to give them the training to facilitate their entry into leading West End Performing Arts Colleges.

The 30 week course is designed to further equip people who show potential in the performing arts but require more training in order to be accepted on a Three Year Musical Theatre Course at a top college. It may be that you have completed A Levels or a BTEC Course and feel that you need additional training in Acting or Singing or have only recently discovered a passion for dance.

As an independant college we have designed our course to give you all round performing arts training to allow you to successfully audition at a wide range of Drama Schools. Graduates have gone on to train at Arts Ed, Bird College, GSA, Urdang, Mountview, Italia Conti, Royal Welsh, Royal Central, Rose Bruford, Trinity Laban, Performers College, Laine Theatre Arts, Brighton Academy, PPA, Wilkes, Emil Dale, Dancebox, Platinum Academy.

SOTE Foundation Course is different from others by enabling you to get ahead of the rest by starting your training right at the beginning of September. We have smaller class sizes than most foundation courses ensuring you get more one to one attention to improve your skills.

Extra Costs: Travel or accomodation costs where necessary.

Scripts & Music, Headshots, Theatre trips, Dancewear, Dance Shoes. You should allow around £300 for this. 

There will also be costs of auditioning for BA Hons courses at the end of this course.

Entry Requirements: Two A-Levels at C grade/equivalent, Level 3 qualifications.

Qualification: Certificate in Higher Education, Level 4

Assessments & Credits: 6 Assessments totalling 120 credits

Fees and Funding: £9,535, loans are available https://www.gov.uk/student-finance (Student finance is available to eligible SOTE College students for our Level Four Courses with Rose Bruford College. Available Tuition Fee Loans cover the full course fee. Maintenance Loans are also available to eligible students to assist with living costs for the duration of the course).
